“ He who learns must suffer
And even in our sleep
Pain which cannot forget
Falls drop by drop
Upon the heart
And in our own despair
Against our will
Comes wisdom to us
Through the awful grace of God.”
From the darkest state of unawareness “The Light” at the end of the tunnel pierces through the disquiet of unconsciousness culminating in a new trajectory, a new guide, a new ride, the beginning of a new wave, a new cycle, a new day, a new state of being, a visceral all-encompassing energetic transformation.
An allegory of being which lulls itself to sleep only to reawaken something else entirely; a mythology built of sadness, strife, failure, rejection, poverty, pain & tragedy transmuted; forcing evolutionary growth; from mind, body, emotion & energy hardened by hell & conquered by grace; a meta-revelation led to light by way of facing its shadow; will to power singlehandedly overcoming all obstacles with only intuition & ingenuity.
Written & recorded by one person with no money, no home, no resources & no luck (no “fortune” which would become the greatest “fortune”); an explorer of metaphysics played all the instruments & recorded every note on laptops in borrowed time from slums across these United States, between bug-infested walls under leaky basement ceilings, in bathrooms, cabins, sheds & garages from Alabama to California.
With attention & awareness, the real allegory of the ride enlightens shadows & unmasks the superficiality of corporeal monsters & marionettes revealing an endless, authentic thing (no-thing), the only Truth within or without an embodied existence.
Overcome suffering by awakening to the authentic self, the greater consciousness within; may all find hope & inspiration in the tragic & the absurd, the superficial & the sacred, the maddening & the beautiful, the sadness & the joy, the lullaby & the dark night, the lucid dream & the awakening light.
Let the ride begin.
